What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. The best way to explain it is to watch this video:

Now, if you are still reading this, I can go on. RSS is no longer just for blogs – almost every site I read has RSS feeds. And it is an unbelievable time saver. I comb through the equivalent (volume-wise) of 10 complete New York Times per day, and it really doesn’t take all that much time.
I highly recommend Google Reader – it is the lightest, fastest, and easiest to use (plus it has a really good iPhone at available at google.com/reader/i)
This has enabled me (and lot’s of other people) to efficiently keep up with articles, sites, and content that is interesting and that I would have otherwise not read.
